No. This is the mid-market rate — the midpoint between buy and sell on the wholesale market. Retail banks, forex bureaus and remittance services add a margin (typically 2–5%) and sometimes flat fees on top. Use this page as the baseline to know whether a quoted rate is reasonable.
How often is the exchange rate updated?
The European Central Bank publishes once per business day around 16:00 Central European Time. We re-fetch every 30 minutes so we always have the freshest published rate, and we show the last-updated time on the page.
